Closer Romano joins squad, infielder Vissett set to return over weekend

Korean Monster Ryu Hyun-jin (36, Toronto Blue Jays) is supported by reliable helpers.

Closer Jordan Romano (30) and infielder Bo Bissett (25), who were out due to injuries, will return.

Toronto coach John Schneider told local media, including MLB, that Romano, who was on the IL list, was included in the entry ahead of the home game against the Philadelphia Phillies in the U.S. Major League Baseball (MLB) at Rogers Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on the 16th.

In addition, he said, "Bissett will play a rehabilitation game at the minor league Triple-A Buffalo Bisons today," adding, "If there is no big problem, he will be able to return to the big leagues around the 19th."

The joining of the two players is expected to be a great help for Ryu Hyun-jin, who is set to make his third start this season.

Romano is the main closer who has been active this season with four wins, five losses, two holds, 28 saves and a 2.79 ERA. 토토사이트

Romano injured his back in the MLB All-Star Game last month, and the pain worsened while pushing ahead with the game after the All-Star break.

He has not played a game since August, but has recently been committed to recovering and improving his physical condition.

The news of Bissett's return is also welcome. Bissett led Toronto's offense and defense until his injury broke out.

He played with a batting average of 0.321, 17 home runs, and 59 RBIs in 106 games this season, but injured his knee against the Baltimore Orioles on the 1st and was out of the lineup.

Bissett is expected to play a role as a helper for Ryu Hyun-jin, a "ground ball-inducing pitcher," with his top defense as well as batting.

Ryu Hyun-jin gained momentum by winning his first victory since returning from injury with two runs (non-earned) in five innings against the Chicago Cubs on the 14th.

He is likely to take the mound in a visiting game against the Cincinnati Reds at 2:40 a.m. on the 21st due to the starting rotation.
